The International Kant Congress is held every five years on the initiative of the Kant-Gesellschaft that incorporates leading Kant scholars from many countries, including Russian experts.
The Congress is an important event for all scientists engaged in Kant studies. It covers all fields of Kant’s philosophy and reflects the results of the latest research. In recent decades, Kant Congresses were held in Oslo, Vienna, Pisa, Sao Paulo, and Berlin.
The Kant Congress involves a wide publishing, cultural and popularising programme and attracts significant public interest. From 350 to 800 participants and guests from home and abroad come together on each occasion.
At the moment, financial support from the Government of the Kaliningrad Region has been granted and arrangements for scientific and organisational support have been made with the Institute of Philosophy of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Faculty of Philosophy of the Lomonosov Moscow State University.
The requirements for submitting applications for participation in the Congress are currently being discussed.
